This was a really enjoyable stay for 4 nights. All the staff was excellent and experienced, solved my issues. The location was prime and best possible, for example, Tamaki Maori Village was just a short stroll away from the hotel. It was about 10 km from the airport.

The bathroom was a little old, I didn't like it.

very nice rooms and heat pump

We traveled with our three adult kids. We booked a family room for the three kids. It had a room with a single bed ands and another with a double bed. The rooms had a tv in every room (total 2 Tvs). There is a fridge and a kettle, plus mugs, tea, sachets and coffee sachets. A toilet with a shower is en-suite. The other room had nothing but a bed, which we slept in. The bed was comfortable. We asked for a heater (it was winter). Our room shared toilets and showers. There were 2 showers, and two toilets. 2 washing basins were in the corridor. Everything was clean. The Motel looks new and clean.

This hotel is great value for money, offering affordable prices for clean and well-equipped rooms. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The hotel's location in the heart of the city is incredibly convenient, with the library and mall a short distance away. The rooms are spacious and offer all the necessary facilities, including a shower and shared bathroom. I also appreciated the attention to detail, with the wifi password conveniently located on the key.

No improvements needed - all was satisfactory.

The room is clean, the lady is nice to tell us where should we go. Althought we waked up by fire alarm in 5:30am. but that let's us know that the motel is safty. To see everyone stand out side of motel at 5:30 in the morning, it's best memory ever!!!!!

I stayed in the dorm room which is very basic but the facilities of the motel are perfect. The Motel is clean, owners very helpfull, city - very nice and wellcoming. Good quality for the price. I had the opportunity to see the motel rooms and I must say that are very well equiped and clean.

Great staff, comfy super clean bed and bedding plus prime town location

It is absolutely centre of the city--everything is close or accessible. It is next door to city bus stops and the public transportation in Rotorua is excellent! A+++ for location!

It was noisy depending on who was in the next room--

We had a great stay at Astray Motel! The location was perfect, just a short walk to all the major attractions in town. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for activities in the area. I would highly recommend this motel for a stay in Rotorua.

I asked for a heater upon our arrival as I felt very cold and the unit felt cold and it was brought up straight a way. It was not till after that we noticed there was actually a heat pump appliance in the unit.

We DId not like the tiny sink to wash the dishes in but managed oke.

The owner Sue was so great and helpful. The location is right in the center of the city, the bus is just in front of the hotel. Parking if you rent a car. Perfect really for a low budget.

I had a great stay at Astray Motel in the city centre. The facilities were modern, clean, and tidy. The manager was incredibly nice and helpful. The fast internet connection was a bonus, and it only cost $3 for unlimited wifi for everyone in the room. The location is perfect, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Would recommend this hotel.
